Faculty Advisor 2018 – 2019
Ann E Trampas, CSAP, is a Lecturer at the University of Illinois– Chicago (UIC) and the Professional Development Practice Lead for Phoenix Consulting At UIC she teaches Business Strategy and a Marketing classes at both the graduate and undergraduate level and advises the American Marketing Association Chapter. She is also a faculty member of the American Management Association, where is facilitates a variety of courses. As Practice Lead for Phoenix Consulting, she works with clients developing and delivering skills mastery classes in collaborative relationship management and consulting in optimizing their strategic alliances.
She is currently a member of the US Delegation Technical Advisory Group for the ISO standard for Collaborative Business. She is a Board Member and former President of the Midwest Chapter of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP). She is a member of the Executives Club of Chicago and the American Marketing Association. Previously Ann has held positions including ASAP Certification Program Director; Vice President of Global Alliances for IBM-SPSS and Vice – President of Partner Marketing for Teleglobe.
Board of Directors 2018-2019
Her responsibilities with AMA are to preside all meetings, to appoint all special committees, and to be the chairperson of the board of directors. She is responsible for receiving and sharing information from special chapter leader communications from AMA National Headquarters.
Catherine Gutierrez is a Marketing major with a concentration in Market Research. This past summer she completed an internship with Status Group Inc; an integrated marketing company located in 1871. She is currently a Marketing Coordinator for Status Group Inc. where she puts her digital and social media marketing skills to use. Some of her favorite pastimes include going to the park with her dog and watching a Chicago sports team in action.
Her responsibilities with AMA include performing duties of the president in the president’s absence. In the event of vacancy of the presidency, she shall succeed to the presidency. She is responsible for room reservations for meetings, conferences, and other such events planned.
Zainub Ghias is a Marketing Major with a concentration in Promotions and Communications. She is also working towards a minor in Business Analytics. She loves to learn about the digital media strategy of different brands. This past summer she interned with William Rainey Harper College as a Business and Entrepreneurship Intern.
Her responsibilities with AMA includes keeping all records except financial data. She determines the chapter’s meeting schedule for the year, selects program topics and speakers and prepare program calendar for the year. She arranges for all speaker commitments and coordinates the details of their appearances. She has arranged multiple site visits and signature events. She is responsible for recording and maintaining minutes, agendas, emails, and other such records for each meeting.
Nadir Mian is a Marketing major with a concentration in Promotions and Communications. He loves to graphic design and has created the logo for UIC AMA Chapter. This summer he is interning with SilverCrest Solutions as their Digital Marketing Intern.
His responsibilities with AMA includes administering, managing and editing the promotional content for AMA UIC general body meetings and events. He is responsible for organizing, supervising, and executing projects from concept through delivery. He communicates new content initiatives and operating results throughout the organization.
Luna Awad is a Information and Decision Sciences major with a concentration in Management and Information Systems. She is also a minor in Business Analytics. Luna has experience in assisting companies in reaching their marketing, advertising, and operational activities. This past summer, Luna interned as a Analytics and Strategy Intern at Leo Burnett.
Her responsibilities include managing and promoting upcoming events, site visits, and meetings on all social media platforms. She distributes all meeting announcements to board members, officers, faculty, and current and prospective members.
Kelli Wong is a 2nd year Marketing major with a concentration in Marketing Research at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a student part of Business Scholars, a highly selective leadership development program, and the Honors College, she is driven to excel in the various roles she holds such as being the Director of Programming for AMA at UIC and as a Business Ambassador for UIC College of Business. Aside from academics, she enjoys participating in Relay for Life/Colleges Against Cancer, a non profit cancer organization.
